Angels In Disguise

        

        Mother's Day is a day dedicated to honor and praise mothers and maternal figures around the world for everything they do. It's a day to express gratitude to them for their impact on our lives as well as their contributions in society. Mother's Day is observed on several dates throughout the world at various seasons of the year. Some of them follow the United Nations' official Mother's Day date on the second Sunday of May. Other countries have their own traditional festivals and ceremonies that have come to be known as their celebration for Mother's Day. 

        In the Philippines, Mother's Day is being celebrated on every second Sunday of May. For this year, Mother's Day was celebrated on May 14. During this endeavor, all mothers are being honored and appreciated. All of them, including those who call themselves "furrparents" (people who have a pet animal), single mothers, and mothers who lost their child. Their efforts, the things they do for their children, and the fact that they can sacrifice anything for their children's sake is worth the celebration for.

        A mother is not only a female parent as stated by the Merriam-Webster Dictionary. A mother is someone who could do anything for her child or children, a mother loves her children unconditionally, a mother could sacrifice anything for her children's wellbeing. That is why this blog post is entitled “Angels in Disguise” because our mothers are like angels, they are the ones that has taken care of us since we where young. They are the only one who won’t leave us, who will stay with us, whose love won’t fade. So don’t forget to greet your mother “Happy Mother’s Day!” and show her that she is loved and appreciated.
