Hard Times
The second quarter is better compared to the first quarter because the lessons for each subject are less difficult, that's what I thought in the beginning of quarter two. But as the time progressed, the lessons for each subject became more and more difficult. More and more requirements were given to us. And some of our teachers even conducted surprise quizzes. We also conducted an extemporaneous speech in front of many people as one of the requirements for our English subject.
I am very disappointed with my performance for the second quarter. Most of my assignments and projects were either rushed or late. My quiz scores are also not that high. But there is no one to blame but myself. I felt like I was losing interest in everything and I was not able to do my best.
The second quarter might not be a great time for me, but what's important is that it is over now. I cannot change the way I performed and I cannot make my quiz scores high, but I can focus on making myself better. This quarter taught a very valuable lesson to me, that there is nothing easy in life. If you want to have something, achieve something, or be someone, you should work hard for it. I once saw a quote saying "If you are tired, then do it tired", now that I think about it, studying is really exhausting but we need to make sacrifices and endure the pain in order for us to achieve our dreams. So, as the next quarter starts, I'll make sure to persevere and strive more for the sake of a bright future.
I'm glad you survived another quarter Ashley, I'm proud of you always!<33
