She Was Just A Kid

I am Ashley Anne Fortich, a Grade 10 student in Ilocos Sur National High School. I am 15 years old and I am currently living in Panay, Sto. Domingo. I am not very tall but my dreams and aspirations are high. I like making arts even though I'm not very good at it, it makes me feel calm and relaxed. My favorite types of entertainment are listening to music and watching Korean-dramas and Netflix series.

In my 15 years of existence, I have already experienced lots of things in life. One of my favorite memories is when me and my family went to my grandparents' house in Pangasinan to celebrate new year. The feelings that I have felt back then were amazing. People sang together and gave each other gifts, there were also lots of food and the sound of fireworks and firecrackers did not stop on that new year's eve.

Through out the years, I have met numerous people, some stayed and some just passed by. But I gained a very important lesson because of this, it is that "there is nothing permanent in life, everything changes", for example, growing old. Myself is also an epitome of change, I have changed a lot as I grew older. I was very outgoing and irresponsible when I was a kid, but now, I think before I do something. I've changed, but towards the better me.

I was just a little kid, but now, I have matured over time. I was only in the 7th grade when the pandemic started to spread, but now, I am already graduating from junior high school. I have met numerous people, most because of school. I have been through lots of obstacles in life and I can't believe that I got through all of them. I can decide for myself now, and I mostly do the good instead of the bad. From being a small little girl, I am now a responsible young lady.
